If you can dream it, it is within the realm of possibility.

A coach would have shown me the possibility. A coach uses questions to find out where the person they are supporting is and where they desire to be and then helps to bridge them to that desire. A coach holds the space of possibility and supports creating the steps or boundaries required. A coach supports releasing limiting beliefs.

In the 1990s, I watched my Mom’s and Grandfather’s favourite soap opera as Vicky was carried over the bridge in a horse drawn sleigh to her groom Ryan. This was in the soap opera Another World. The bridge is the one featured in the picture above. It is at Emerald Lake by Field, British Columbia Canada. It is only hours away from my home. I remember watching the soap opera wedding and imagining myself getting married there one day. Our family even stayed there once for a business event. Later I would bring my fiancé, now husband, there.

My husband and I are both introverts. We talked about the dream to get married there. My parents pointed out that it would not accommodate all the people we needed to invite and it would be too expensive. Now, don’t get me wrong, we had a fabulous wedding day with almost 300 people present. We enjoyed the people and the day. We enjoyed how happy it made my parents. And, if I had a life coach at the time, I think we would have married at Emerald Lake with only our family members present. With our choice to dedicate ourselves to our careers and our children, my husband and I have not been able to nurture those almost 300 relationships. I did burn out attempting to more than once. I don’t have regrets. I take responsibility for every choice. If I were to go back in time to my newly engaged 24-year-old self, I would tell her to have her petite dream wedding at Emerald Lake and I would tell her to hire her life coach to support her.
